USUAL VIOLATIONS AGAINST INTERNATIONAL CODE OF MARKETING OF BREASTMILK SUBSTITUDES

  • Use of the image of baby on the label of the product;
  • No notice thatthe breastfeeding is the best food for the baby till 6 months” /WHA Resolution 54.2 for exclusive breastfeeding/;
  • The logo and recommendation of the product from Bulgarian Pediatric Association in violation of Guiding Principals of International Pediatric Association /February 2005/. According those principles “IPA will not involve itself in endorsement or marketing of products.”
Use of health claims from the companies idealizing the influence of the product to the health of the baby.
